Paintings of the Divine showcases newly choreographed works by Malathi Iyengar that reveal the splendor of Bharatanatyam, classical dance of India. The dance concert is devoted to solos, duets, trios, and groups featuring vibrant technique and story telling.
Premiere – June 28, 2009, Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, Hollywood, California.
The evening will also feature a solo choreographed and performed by guest dancer Navia Natarajan.
